In Astoria's view, multi-asset portfolios are overly exposed to the stock/bond correlation risk.
Risk assets have rallied sharply the past 2 days, but last week was a nasty reminder for those that are relying on bonds to hedge their equity risk.
Meanwhile, gold was one of the few asset classes that had positive returns when both stocks and bonds significantly declined.
